Indonesia has many tourist destinations,

If your lifestyle likes to travel, you will know that Bali is a popular tourist destination in Indonesia. But actually, many other places can be your tourist destination. Here, I want to share 5 iconic places that I’d visited in Indonesia:

Kepala Burung Island

The iconic Kepala Burung Island on Belitung, Bangka-Belitung.

A soaring granite structure in the form of a Bird’s head. This rock is formed naturally. From Tanjung Kelayang Beach to Kepala Burung Island, you have to continue the journey by boat, only takes about 10 minutes.

You can enjoy the white sandy beach and little waves. Photography hunting, sailing in the area. On Belitung you can visit: Batu Berlayar Island, Pasir Island, Lengkuas Island, Bukit Berahu Beach, Tanjung Tinggi Beach, etc.

Bukit Tinggi Clock Tower

Bukit Tinggi Clock Tower known as Jam Gadang is the icon of Bukit Tinggi area, West Sumatera.

The tower has four clocks. Height: 26 metres (85ft). You can take some photos, especially during the day. The main attraction is the tower itself.

The addition of a water show and spectacular lighting in the park area make Jam Gadang an interesting place to visit at night.

National Monument

National Monument also known as Monas or Monumen Nasional on Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. The 132 meter tall National Monument is topped with a 14.5 meter bronze flame coated with 32 kilograms gold leaf.

You can take the elevator up to 115 meter.Going up to the top of the Monas and you can view of the city.

Tanah Lot Temple

Balinese temple (Pura) built on a rock formation in the sea on Tanah Lot, Bali. The word“Tanah” means land and “Lot”means sea. You can see Tanah Lot temple and rock formations, also there are many other attractions nearby. Be more careful while clicking pictures standing on the rocks as the area towards the edges is slippery.

The Tanah lot sunset offers you a unique view, best time to visit is at 5 p.m. The traditional Balinese dance attraction called Tari Kecak is scheduled after sunset.

Equator Monument

Equator Monument is a monument constructed to represent the otherwise conceptual equator. Equator Monument known as Tugu Khatulistiwa on Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

What’s interesting is when the sun is directly above the equator, so all shadows disappear for a moment because the sun is directly above your head.

Hopefully, this 5 Iconic places can inspire you to travel to Indonesia.
